Earlier this month, Gen9 was named #31 on Biofuels Digest’s list of the top 40 Hottest Emerging Companies in the Advanced Bioeconomy. The "Hot 40" companies were determined by voters and international panelists. Since 2008, over 100,000 individual company ratings have been evaluated in the annual contest, which recognizes smaller, emerging companies founded in the past 7 years.
"We're thrilled that we've been named to the Hot 40," said Kevin Munnelly, President and CEO of Gen9. "It's an honor to be included on this list of exciting businesses who are changing the world through incredible scientific innovation. We're also encouraged to see synthetic biology very well represented among the winners, a testament to the key role that synbio will play in driving the future of our economy."
Other companies included on the list were Ginkgo Bioworks, Bolt Threads, and Caribou Biosciences. To see the complete lists of winners, visit the Biofuels Digest announcement.
